Current Openings

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Property Accountant manages the financial operations of a multi-revenue, multi-entity hospitality business. This role covers payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial tracking across accommodations, marine operations, vineyard activities, events, and related business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily bookkeeping for sales, expenses, payroll, and benefits (approximately 15 permanent staff and 15 seasonal staff), including ROEs for seasonal layoffs
  • Manage the hospitality tracking system (Cloudbeds) and establish billing, payment collection, and recordkeeping procedures
  • Maintain employee files and documentation
  • Manage the credit card expense process (Sage/AutoEntry)
  • Oversee the time tracking system (Connecteam) alongside management
  • Bank reconciliations, GST/PST/MRDT reporting and remittances
  • Assist in establishing processes, attaining goals, and streamlining operations
Requirements
  • Payroll processing experience (Sage preferred)
  • Accounting software proficiency (Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent)
  • Strong Excel, Word, and general computer skills
  • Excellent organization and recordkeeping
  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper or CPA designation (or training in progress)
Schedule

Initially 20 hours per week with solid opportunities for growth depending on fit, skill level, and ability to learn the business. All hours are onsite with flexibility in scheduling within the work week.
